The question is usually asked How to rank high (or first) on Google? How to optimize my blog posts for Search Engines?

In this blog post, I'm trying to teach you the basics and show you the best method. (I uses :p) I'll try to convince you by ranking first for this long keyword : How to rank high on Google!



A Blogger must take care of many things when writing and publishing blog posts.

• The people who read the blog posts: If you give your reader a bad looking website and poor content or bad-formed pages, this won't generate a real reader and your visitor will probably quit by hitting the X button. If you think you can get more Ads click with this method, so be sure Google Adsense will get you banned.


• The boots who index your blog: Boots index your website pages and order them on searches based on many factors.
  We'll try in this little tutorial to better our Search Engine ranking.

How to optimize your Blog posts

First step is to optimize your Blog posts title. Let me give you an example of two blog posts title

• Make Money Online
• How I become wealthy, untold secrets!

The two blog post have the same content, but there's a difference in the title. When a user search for something, he'll uses keywords like 'Make Money' or 'Make Money Online' and not the second title.

How to know how people search

Yet, this is another problem. To know what title you need to choose, you need to know how people search and find a website.
A way to do that is to use Compete. Although it's not completely free.

For me I prefer to do it myself. Simply, think how you'd search for something and you'll know how people search for it.
Let me give you an example, when I chosen the title for this blog post, I took care of many things.

• The title keywords (rank, Google, high)
• The competition

First I choose a title that convert well with my post content. The title and post content are the same.
Now, you may asks me why I didn't chosen "SEO for Blog" or "Rank high on Google". This is because of competition.

For example Google for the keyword "Money". The result is about 1 billion page found by Google. However, only the 1,000 first page will have traffic.
The 10 first will have rivals of traffic daily, however pages ranking 800 or 900 may have 2 or 3 visits, which are probably not targted.

So you have to choose a keyword with few competition. For this one, there's only few pages that are using this title. By using link:http://pageurl, I can know how many pages linking to them. No pages! So with some links and optimization I can get this position.

Some writing optimization tips

• Don't Forget Keywords: Always uses your main keywords in your text, don't abuse your post with keyword because you'll both annoy your reader and get banned from Google
• Uses list: Use numerated or bulleted lists like I'm using, Google really like them
• Insert a picture: Insert a picture and don't forget to put an 'alt' tag which means for Google : The picture description
• Uses Bold: Bold your keywords and your main phrases
• Link to other blogs also!

Another important thing is to write so long. If you decide to hit a keyword with your blog post, so make your post as long as possible and include and many other keywords and content as much as possible.

Getting Backlinks

Even your blog optimized, you canno't reach the first position easily.
Google will look on another factor which is Backlinking.

• The number of pages linking to your post
• The quality of those pages

Now you must be careful, many Blogger tries to get much Backlinks from poor quality and ranking sites. In the end Google will ban them from its database :(
So try to get from good sites or blogs.
