Testing Google Adsense
Today I started testing Google Adsense in this blog. As yesterday there was more than 150 page views (exactly 164), it's a good number to start testing the heat zones for my blog. Because the Adsense placement needs a study and a strategy, I decided to share it with you.
And here's the case of the study
The colors of the Ads should be blending with the site template, so the user can read them easily. By the way, using strong color that attract users attention is prohibited by the Adsense TOS.
As you see I have chosen the green as the border and that's normal because the template (in header and text) is green. However there's so much white and that why I make the background white.
Placing the ads is so much important. For the while I'm facing a problem: Displaying Ads only when visitor see the topic, that mean on the main page, the ads aren't displayed.
By this manner the better placement will be:
+ Text content (Ad unit) ads in the top right of the post: The reader begin reading, so he can easily track and read the ads as he didn't finish searching... He's interested on others topics and then click rate here is high
+ Link (Link unit) ads in the bottom of the ads: The visitor finish reading and here are the two cases; it find what he searched for or he didn't. If he find then he won't click for the content ads, if he didn't he may. However if it's link ads then he'll click on both cases, continue searching or find out more because link ads take the same text as your post however the content is different.
With this, I still have 2 content and 2 link ads that I can use in different places.
Other good places:
For the ad unit: In the side bar, near a game widget or something that attract and make your visitor interact with it
For the link unit: in the footer, or in the side bar near the Blogroll
i have do the same few days ago, the problem they choise pub not in my taste but tags and i have pub to find women in sex, i do not want it, no choice
